Mike Waters

Chief Operating Officer

Mike Waters is responsible for our portfolio of strategic services and solutions. Under his leadership, our 6 Operations Centers of Excellence ensure we have the proper infrastructure, systems, metrics and teams to effectively integrate, optimize and grow our business while delivering on our strategic objectives to scale and support a seamless, efficient customer experience.

Before joining Teladoc Health, Waters served as executive vice president and chief executive of the Ambulatory Care Network (ACN) at Providence, one of the nation’s largest comprehensive healthcare organizations. He built the ACN to respond to payer, employer, consumer and competitive pressures. In that role, he led strategy and execution to improve the health and well-being of patients by creating personalized, convenient, affordable health solutions outside of the system's hospital walls.

Prior to that, Waters was senior vice president of physician services with shared accountability for optimizing and growing Providence Medical Group into the second largest medical group in the nation at that time.  Over 10 years, he integrated 800+ locations and more than doubled the number of employed clinicians to 10,000 while delivering on strategy, operations and revenue growth initiatives.   In addition, Waters founded and led two nationwide health care consulting and recruiting companies: W Medical Group and Med Stat Incorporated.

Waters earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Southern Methodist University.
