The She Powers Health awards recognize individuals within the healthcare industry that have made strides in the advancement and recognition of women. The third annual She Powers Health awards reception will be held at HLTH 2021.
This award recognizes an individual who has not only made a significant impact on peoples’ health, but who also has recognized, empowered and championed women and the important role they play in enhancing care and transforming the healthcare industry. This individual is a role model for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and has dedicated their career to the advancement of women in healthcare.
Rising Star Award
This award recognizes a rising star (under 30) who has made an impact on peoples’ health, empowers women in the workplace, and is a champion for diversity and change, while still early in their career.

2020 She Powers Health Individual Award Recipient:
Cheryl Pegus, MD, executive vice president of health and wellness, Walmart
Dr. Pegus is recognized as a leader for her extensive work across healthcare domains and utilizing data-driven solutions to deliver measurable improvements in cost-effective, personalized health solutions. Her career includes a rich mix of clinical, pharmaceutical and health plan experience—with innovation as the common thread throughout.
2020 She Powers Health Rising Star Award Recipient:
Sejal Hathi, MD, MBA, attending physician and faculty, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Dr. Hathi is a physician, public health advocate, podcast host and serial entrepreneur, who has dedicated her career to serving vulnerable communities in the United States and globally—with special attention to women and girls. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Hathi served as a resident physician in internal medicine & primary care at Massachusetts General Hospital.
